Davido Honoured with ‘‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen’’

Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, was present at the US State of Georgia General Assembly meeting, where he received recognition as an exemplary citizen. Sharing the news, Davido took to his Instagram page on Friday to make the announcement.

 “This morning, I attended U.S. State of Georgia General Assembly meeting with the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia State Senate to be recognised as an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen’… God is good,” he noted.

It should be recalled that Davido got his first Grammy Awards nomination earlier last month. The nominations include Best Global Album for his latest album, “Timeless.” The other two nominations are for Best African Performance for his song “Unavailable” and Best Global Music Performance for his song “Feel.”
