Children of Wurma village in Kurfi Local Government Area of Katsina State have taken to the streets to protest the recent killings and abduction of their parents by bandits in their community.

The children in their numbers on Friday, in a video posted on X by @jaymb000, were chanting in Hausa while holding sticks in protest to the constant attacks and abductions in the village.

According to a report by Trust TV, Wurma village was attacked by gunmen on Monday, 26 February, leaving the community in ruins. A victim, Samaila Wurma, told the TV that he escaped the assailants through his fence while he watched how they set his house and belongings on fire.

Another victim said seven of his children were abducted by the bandits just when they were about to have dinner. He lamented how the children were whisked away on empty stomachs.

In a nearby community, Lambo, the gunmen killed eight people and destroyed properties worth millions.
