Nigerian filmmaker Bolanle Austen-Peters has revealed her 10,000-acre film village in Epe, Lagos State. The sprawling facility, BAP Film Village, offers a unique space for movie productions and recreational activities, positioning itself as a new hub for the Nigerian film industry.

Austen-Peters revealed the film village through her Instagram page, sharing that her latest film, House of Ga’a, was shot at the newly developed site.

She wrote: “So many have asked where we shot House of GA’A. This is it! BAP Productions Film Village in Epe. Over 10,000 acres of land, rolling hills, huts, and other facilities. Open for hire”.

In her post, she highlighted the transformation of the land, describing how it evolved from dense forestation to a functional film village in just a few months. Austen-Peters credited the rapid development to the dedication of her team, who led the construction efforts despite having no prior experience with such a project.

The BAP Film Village is the latest addition to Nigeria’s growing number of dedicated film production sites, joining the ranks of other notable film villages owned by industry figures like Kunle Afolayan and Ibrahim Chatta.

Austen-Peters is responsible for Nollywood productions like Collision Course, Bling Lagosians, Man of God, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti and a couple of stage plays.
