Blue Ivy Joins Cast for Mufasa: The Lion King, a Prequel

Disney has treated fans to an exciting first look at “Mufasa: The Lion King,” a prequel that delves into the origins of Mufasa and Scar, with a surprise addition to the voice cast – Blue Ivy Carter. Directed by Barry Jenkins, the film promises to take audiences on a journey back to the Pride Lands to uncover the untold story of two iconic characters.

Blue Ivy’s involvement marks her debut in the world of voice acting, following in the footsteps of her parents, Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Her role as Kiara adds a new dimension to the story, offering fans a glimpse into the next generation of characters in the Lion King universe. Mufasa: The Lion King will hit theatres on 20 December 2024.
