The Big Brother Naija reality show has subtly announced its return for a new season beginning in July. This was confirmed through a post on the show’s official X account on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

The announcement, which included a photo teaser hinting at the upcoming season’s theme, was captioned with, “What’s better than One? Mark your calendars!” This has generated excitement among fans eagerly awaiting the next instalment of the popular show.

The upcoming season will introduce a new twist with participants in pairs. The auditions were required that they apply in pairs. This format shift aims to bring fresh dynamics and strategies to the competition.

Last year’s All-Stars season was one of the most successful and highly watched editions, featuring returning guests from previous seasons competing for the grand prize. Ilebaye Odiniya, an evictee from the 2022 season, emerged as the winner of the All-Stars edition.

However, the show is not without controversy. There has been an ongoing debate regarding one of the sponsors from season 7, Level Up edition, failing to fulfil their promise to the winner, Josephina “Phyna” Otabor. This issue has raised questions about the commitment and reliability of sponsors involved with the show.

Fans eagerly anticipate the new season, hoping it will live up to the high standards set by previous editions while introducing exciting new elements to keep the audience engaged.
