Nigerian music sensations Tems and Ayra Starr thrilled fans in New York with a surprise performance during the latest stop of Tems’ “Born In The Wild” tour. The crowd erupted in excitement as Ayra Starr took the stage, marking a memorable moment that highlighted the camaraderie between the two global stars.

The New York concert, featuring a special appearance by American Grammy-winning artist John Legend, was a highlight of Tems’ tour. Legend joined Tems to rend his hit single “Ordinary People,” further elevating the night’s performance.

Despite their successes and mutual admiration, Tems and Ayra Starr have yet to collaborate on a track. However, the anticipation for a future collaboration is high, with even Rihanna expressing her eagerness to join them on a song.

Both artists have made significant strides in their careers, with Tems making history as the first Nigerian female artist to win a Grammy for contributing to Future’s “Wait For U” at the 65th Grammys. Meanwhile, Ayra Starr earned a nomination for Best African Song Performance at the 66th Grammys for her hit single “Rush”.

Tems and Ayra Starr have continued their global ascent in 2024, each releasing new albums that have garnered critical acclaim. Tems’ debut album, “Born In The Wild,” and Ayra Starr’s sophomore effort, “The Year I Turned 21,” both showcase their evolving artistry and international appeal

As Tems concludes the U.S. leg of her world tour, which began on June 12 in London, she is set to take her show to Toronto on September 7th, continuing her journey across the globe.
