Ayoola Ayolola Joins Cast of Haitian Political Thriller ‘Killing of a Nation’

Nigerian actor Ayoola Ayolola is set to star in the forthcoming Haitian political crime thriller Killing of a Nation. The film, directed by Carlos Bolado and penned by Jimena Gallardo, delves into the intricate web of corruption and power struggles within Haiti.

The Killing of a Nation’ is set in Haiti and centres on American lobbyist Anderson Toussaint, who uncovers deep-seated corruption within the President’s inner circle. The assassination of President Jovenel Moise amidst escalating political unrest plunges the country into deeper chaos.

Ayolola, also known for his role in the American Christian series Chosen, where he portrayed the healed blind man’s friend, began his acting career with the popular series Skinny Girl in Transit. His filmography includes notable works like Isoken, The Men’s Club, The Set Up, and Fifty: The Series.

Also, British Nigerian actor O-T Fagbenle is set to star in the same movie. Fagbenle has made his mark in Hollywood, featuring in acclaimed projects such as Presumed Innocent and The Handmaid’s Tale.

Over the years, Nigerian talent has increasingly featured in international films and TV series, with actors like Stephanie Okereke Linus, Osas Ighodaro, Genevieve Nnaji, and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde gaining global recognition.

The Killing of a Nation also stars AML Ameen, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Aïssa Maïga, Jairo Ordoñez, Grainger Hines, and Grace Van Dien. The official release date is yet to be announced.
