Nigerian filmmaker Austin Faani has kicked off the U.S. tour of his latest movie, Red Alert, a gripping tale that dives deep into the worlds of love, loyalty, and the dangerous underbelly of drug cartels.

The much-anticipated film premiered on March 9, 2025, in Dallas. Next, Red Alert is set to captivate audiences in Houston, Atlanta, Maryland, and New York before making its way to Nigerian cinemas later in the year. The Houston screening will take place on April 26 at the AMC Theatre.

Boasting a stellar cast, the film features the talents of Jide Kene Achufusi, Tina Mba, Linda Osifo, and Alex Usifo. One of the standout performances comes from Nigerian-born heavyweight fighter Kizzy Uzoma, popularly known as King Kizzy, who makes his cinematic debut as “Ghost”.

Faani, known for his multifaceted career as a director, producer, editor, and cinematographer, has spent over two decades perfecting his craft. Red Alert, which was filmed entirely in Asaba, Delta State, is a testament to his storytelling prowess. He is also married to the Nollywood actress Chacha Eke Faani.

Adding to the excitement, the director celebrated his birthday just days after the Dallas premiere. Fans and colleagues showered him with warm wishes, further amplifying the celebratory spirit around the film’s release.

As the tour continues, moviegoers across the U.S. eagerly await their chance to experience Faani’s latest masterpiece.
