Air Peace has announced a significant increase in capacity for its highly sought-after Lagos-London route, which was recently launched.

The airline revealed its plans yesterday via an official statement on its Facebook account.

The surge in demand for flights between Lagos and London has prompted Air Peace to enhance its service offering, providing travellers with a broader range of options for their journeys.

The airline expressed gratitude towards the Nigerian and UK populations for their unwavering support, acknowledging the significance of their patronage in making this expansion possible.

The statement highlighted the decision to augment capacity on the route in light of overwhelming interest, ensuring that more seats are now available to accommodate the growing number of passengers.

This move comes shortly after Air Peace successfully conducted its inaugural flight to London, with 260 passengers aboard a Boeing 777 aircraft with a capacity of 274 seats.

“Due to overwhelming demand and interest in our London route, we have decided to increase the capacity on the route. This means that more seats are now available.”

Effective immediately, Air Peace will operate daily flights between Lagos and London, offering travellers greater flexibility in planning their trips.

Allen Onyema, the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, disclosed that tickets for Lagos-London flights with the airline have been sold out until September, showing the overwhelming demand for the service.

In an interview with Arise TV, Onyema shared insights into Air Peace’s ambitious growth plans, revealing that the company currently operates a fleet of over 30 aircraft and has placed orders for an additional 33. Onyema emphasised Air Peace’s commitment to expanding its fleet to over 60 aircraft.
