In a decree signed by Faye on Saturday, veteran diplomat Cheikh Niang was appointed the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing Yassine Fall, who will now lead the Ministry of Justice. The Interior Ministry is now headed by Mouhamadou Bamba Cissé, a lawyer and close associate of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.

The announcement outlines a broad reorganisation of Senegal’s executive team, signalling renewed priorities for governance, economic reform, and international cooperation.
