Flavour’s hit song Game Changer was featured in episode 8 of Power Book II: Ghost, marking a significant moment for Nigerian culture on the global stage. The episode showcased an Igbo wedding. Woody McClain, who plays Cane, donned the traditional Igbo Isiagu outfit alongside his bride-to-be, played by Caroline Chikezie, also dressed in Igbo attire.

The wedding scene included the traditional Igbo greeting, “Igbo kwenu”, reflecting an authentic portrayal of the Igbo culture. Flavour’s Game Changer was used during the ceremony, a song often associated with honouring men of distinction and valour.

The representation of Igbo culture in a significant Western production has been lauded, as it promotes cultural diversity and recognition of African traditions in global media.

Power, an American crime drama created by Courtney A. Kemp in collaboration with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, has spawned several spin-offs. Power Book II: Ghost is both a direct sequel and a spin-off of the original Power series, while Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book IV: Force serve as standalone projects within the same universe.
