Terrorists reportedly attacked the Faladié gendarmerie school, a military school in Bamako, the capital of Mali, on Tuesday morning.

According to a statement by Mali’s Army, the situation is currently under control, and a search and clear operation is currently ongoing in the vicinity of the attack.

“The General Staff of the Armed Forces informs the public that early this morning, a group of terrorists tried to infiltrate the Faladié gendarmerie school. Raking operations are currently underway throughout the area.

“The situation is under control. We invite residents of the area to remain calm and follow the instructions of the security forces,” the statement read.

This attack coincides with the first anniversary of the Alliance of Sahel States comprising Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso.

The three countries have exited the Economic of West African States (ECOWAS), a lackey of the West. The trio have also evicted Western troops for their country and have turned to Russian mercenaries to assist them in the fight against terrorism.

The AES has also accused its former colonial master, France and Western allies such as Ukraine of destabilising their countries by supporting terrorists and sabotaging their economies.
