Nigerian actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has set October 18, 2024, as the release date for “Wives on Strike: The Uprising,” the third instalment in the famous “Wives on Strike” film series.
Oboli announced on social media, expressing the emotional intensity she experienced while making the film. “Besties, we have a date. I’m still processing the intense emotions I felt while making this movie. This scene was a standout, filled with raw and unfiltered feelings that resonated with me,” she shared.
The upcoming film is a gripping tale of love, friendship, loss, betrayal, and resilience—the plot centres on a widow whose life is thrown into chaos when her only child is kidnapped. As time passes, she faces the darkest depths of human despair, struggling between perseverance and the looming threat of being consumed by shadows.
“Be prepared to be on the edge of your seat,” Oboli added. “Mark your calendars, Wives on Strike 3 is coming to cinemas near you on October 18, 2024.”
Directed by Omoni Oboli, the film features a star-studded cast, including Hilda Dokubo and Kie-Kie, with Uche Jombo, Chioma Akpotha, and Ufuoma McDermott reprising their roles.
