Burkina Faso: 86 Terrorists Killed, 2 Captured in Manni

A total of 86 terrorists were killed by the 19th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) during the Opération ÉCLAIR in Manni, Burkina Faso, from August 6 to 10. The Burkinabe forces also captured two terrorists and seized their weapons.

According to Agence d’Information du Burkina, the operation, led by the battalion commander known as “Thor,” also saw the recovery of important materials.

Four members of Burkinabe security forces were injured, with two evacuated for treatment and reported to be in stable condition. The other two were treated on site.

Burkina Faso continues with its fight against insurgents in the Sahel region.
