#EndBadGovernance: Peaceful Protesters March In Ibadan

The #EndBadGovernance protest has commenced in Ibadan, Oyo State capital. Peaceful protesters converged at Iwo Road, and they are now marching through Bodija towards the University of Ibadan.

The protesters demand a reversal of all “anti-poor policies, such as the removal of the fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu. They also demand free education at all levels and an end to the current hike of tuition by public tertiary institutions.

Other demands include the repair of government-owned refineries and the reduction of allowances for public office holders.

The protesters are singing solidarity songs and marching peacefully.

The #EndBadGovernance is a nationwide protest that kicked off today, August 1, in major cities across the country.

Citizens are protesting over the economic hardship caused by government policies.
