Manchester United Considers Ruud van Nistelrooy  For Coaching Role Under Erik ten Hag

In a potential return to Old Trafford, Ruud van Nistelrooy has been approached to join Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff at Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The former Red Devils striker is currently weighing his options, as he is also a strong candidate to become Burnley’s new manager, replacing Vincent Kompany. A decision is expected next week.

Van Nistelrooy, who enjoyed a prolific playing career at Manchester United from 2001 to 2006, remains a revered figure among the fans.

During his time at United, he scored 150 goals in 219 appearances, becoming one of the most revered strikers in the club’s history.

His clinical finishing and goal-scoring prowess earned him numerous accolades, including the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2002-2003 season.

This development comes amid ongoing changes within the United staff, with the club looking to reshape and strengthen its coaching structure under ten Hag’s leadership.

Van Nistelrooy’s coaching credentials have also been growing steadily. He has gained valuable experience managing PSV Eindhoven’s youth teams and the senior team.
