Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly engaging in the act of spraying Naira notes at public events.
The EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Command summoned the 31-year-old following a video report that surfaced, capturing him extravagantly flaunting wads of new Naira notes during the premiere of a movie, “Ajakaju,” produced by Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao.
The incident occurred at the Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that this was not an isolated incident. Bobrisky was allegedly involved in similar acts at various event centres and parties.
Responding to the EFCC’s summons, Bobrisky appeared at the Lagos Zonal Command of the Commission on Wednesday, April 4, 2024, where he voluntarily submitted himself for interrogation and provided his statements.
Bobrisky may be charged to court as the investigation progresses once the EFCC concludes its inquiries into the matter.
