Wigwe University Vows to Uphold Founder’s Vision Following Tragic Passing

In the wake of the tragic demise of its founder, Herbert Wigwe, along with his wife and son in a helicopter accident on February 9, 2024, the Board of Wigwe University has pledged to continue with its vision for education and leadership.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Fabian Ajogwu (SAN), affirmed the institution’s commitment to honouring Dr. Wigwe’s unwavering dedication to education. In a statement, the board expressed deep condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.

Despite the profound loss, the university emphasised that the foundation laid by Dr Wigwe remained robust. It asserted its determination to maintain academic excellence and societal impact, in line with the founder’s aspirations.

The board assured stakeholders, including prospective students, faculty, and staff, of its dedication to fulfilling Dr Wigwe’s dreams for the university. It highlighted Wigwe’s belief in education as a catalyst for Africa’s progress, underscoring his vision for nurturing future leaders and entrepreneurs.

As Wigwe University mourns the loss of its visionary founder, it remains steadfast in its mission to carry forward its legacy for the betterment of Africa and humanity.
