Ondo: Governor Aiyedatiwa Dissolves Executive Council

Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect. The announcement was made through a press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan. 

According to the statement released on January 24, 2024, all members of the cabinet were required to hand over their responsibilities promptly to the permanent secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices. 

Furthermore, all Senior Special Assistants (SSA) and Special Assistants (SA) have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. The directive also mandated all affected officials to immediately surrender any government properties in their possession. 

The Governor expressed his gratitude to the outgoing officials, acknowledging their services and contributions to the development of the state.

Recall, that Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was sworn in as the substantive governor of the state on the 27th of December following the death of the former governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
