2024 BRIT Awards: RAYE Makes History, Unforgettable Performances Dominate

The 2024 BRIT Awards with Mastercard unfolded at London’s O2 arena, drawing a diverse audience of music enthusiasts, industry insiders, and BRIT School students. Hosted by Clara Amfo, Maya Jama, and Roman Kemp, the event showcased 17 awards and featured electrifying performances by artists from various genres.

RAYE, a 26-year-old BRIT School alumna, made history by winning six awards, including Best New Artist and Songwriter of the Year. Notably, over half of this year’s nominations spotlighted women, reflecting a push for greater gender representation. Dua Lipa kicked off the ceremony with a captivating performance, while Jungle and other winners celebrated their victories.

International categories saw notable female winners like SZA and Miley Cyrus. The BRITs also honored Kylie Minogue as a Global Icon, and Rising Star winners The Last Dinner Party received their award from St Vincent. Mastercard, in its 26th year as headline partner, continued to engage music enthusiasts through unique BRITs experiences.
